My story
I spent my career making leaders heard.
I led brand, PR and communications for enterprise organizations in tech, professional services, higher education and manufacturing. My job was to sit beside CEOs and C-suite teams as they prepared for their highest-stakes moments, and to make sure what they knew came through with clarity.
Over 17 years, I noticed a pattern. The most capable people in the room were often the ones holding back the most. They saw the risk and waited for someone else to name it. They had the better idea and deferred to the louder one. Nobody had challenged them. They had already overruled themselves.
“I recognized it because I was doing it too. I constantly edited myself, shrinking so I wouldn’t be seen as ‘too much,’ and I lost my voice.”
So I gave it a name: the Quiet Override. Then I built a way to catch it.
Today, as founder of Inner Badass, I bring that work to leadership teams, conferences and women's leadership programs through keynotes and workshops. I combine what I learned in boardrooms and client rooms with the inner work most communication training skips, so leaders don't just sound more confident. They trust what they know, and they say it.
